District are getting prepared for adverse weather impacts during South-West Monsoon 2020
Monsoon preparedness is another crucial factor during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak. Safety of the people including evacuation and hygiene, medical screening to prevent the spreading of the COVID are most essential.
With the directions given by the Disaster Management Centre, all districts are taking adequate preparedness measure to prepare for upcoming monsoon impacts. Today (05), Matara District Secretariat has organized a monsoon preparedness forum to discuss consequences and adequate preparedness measure.
HSBC/APAD Sri Lanka join hands with Disaster Management Centre to combat with COVID
Today (4th), the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) has received several Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) from HSBC Sri Lanka in partnership with A-PAD Sri Lanka, for the use by frontline personnel, engaged in containing the COVID-19 outbreak. The donation includes with coverall dresses along with face and boot covers and face masks, which is a great need for the ongoing operation.

නිරිත දිග මෝසම් ආපදා පෙර සූදානම් රත්නපුර දිස්ත්‍රික් සම්බන්ධීකරණ කමිටු රැස්වීම
2020 වර්ෂයේ නිරිත දිග මෝසම් වර්ෂාව මැයි මස තෙවැනි සතියේ ආරම්භවීමට ඉඩ ඇති බව කාලගුණවිද්‍යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් පුරෝකථනය කර ඇති අතර පසුගිය වසර කීපය තුළ මෙන් මෙවර ද නිරිත දිග මෝසම් සක්‍රිය වුවහොත් ගංවතුර නායයාම් සහ දැඩි සුළං ආදී ආපදා ඇතිවිය හැකිය. එසේම වර්තමානයේ රටේ පවතින කෝවිඩ් 19 ව්‍යසන තත්වය සමග නිරිත දිග මෝසම් සක්‍රිය වුවහොත් එය කළමනාකරණය කිරීම දැඩි අවදානම් ක්‍රියාවලියක් විය හැකිය. කෝවිඩ් 19 ව්‍යසන තත්වය සහ ඇදිරි නීති තත්වය සහ සෞඛ්‍ය අංශ ලබා දී ඇති මාර්ගෝපදේශ අනුව ඇතිවිය හැකි ආපදා තත්වය තුළ කටයුතු කළ යුතු වේ.
එහෙයින් නිරිතදිග මෝසම් වර්ෂාව හේතුවෙන් ඇතිවිය හැකි ආපදා නිසා මහජනතාවගේ ජීවිත සහ දේපළවලට සිදුවිය හැකි හානි අවම කරගැනීමට අදාල දිස්ත්‍රික්කවල ආපදා කළමනාකරණය සදහා සම්බන්ධ පාර්ශවකාර ආයතනවල පුර්ව සුදානම පිළිබදව සොයා බැලීමට අධ්‍යක්ෂ ජනරාල් මේජර් ජෙනරාල් සුදන්ත රණසිංහ මහතා විසින් අදාල දිස්ත්‍රික් ඒකක වෙත උපදේස් ලබා දී ඇත. ඒ අනුව රත්නපුර දිස්ත්‍රික් ආපදා කළමනාකරණ සම්බන්ධීකරණ කමිටු රැස්වීම පසුගිය දා (30) ආපදා කළමනාකරණ මධ්‍යස්ථානයේ අධ්‍යක්ෂ ජෙනරාල්ගේ සහ රත්නපුර දිස්ත්‍රින් ලේකම් ගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් රත්නපුර දිස්ත්‍රික් ලේකම් කාර්යාලීය ශ්‍රවනාගාරයේ දී පැවැත්විණි.
අකුණු අනතුරු අවම කර ගැනීමට කටයුතු කරමු.
වයඹ, සබරගමුව, මධ්‍යම, දකුණ, බස්නාහිර සහ ඌව පළාත්වල සහ මන්නාරම දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ තැනින් තැන සවස් කාලයේ සහ රාත්‍රී කාලයේ ප්‍රබල අකුණු ඇතිවීමේ අවදානමක් පවතිත බව කාලගුණවිද්‍යා දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව විසින් රතු වර්ණයෙන් යුතු නිවේදනයක් නිකුත් කරමින් පෙන්වා දී ඇත.
