Periodical review and update of the existing National Emergency Operations Plan (NEOP) has been highlighted as a mandatory requirement for the efficient and effective management of emergencies. Hence, workshop on reviewing and updating of the National Emergency Operation Plan (NEOP 2023-2028) which was held on 10th June 2022 at the Disaster Management Centre.
This workshop was chaired by Director General of Disaster Management Center Major General (Rtd.) Sudantha Ranasinghe and representatives of the respective agencies attended from Office of the Chief of Defense Staff, Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy, Sri Lanka Air Force, Sri Lanka Police, Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Ministry of Health, Fire Brigade and Sarvodaya Sri Lanka.
